This is my daughter's 6th birthday cake and was remarkably easy to do.  Bake a cake in a pyrex bowl and add it on top of a round 6 inch cake.  Frost with buttercream and drape with fondant and having the candles shoot out of her dress is optional :).  Or just have SDC make one of these beauties for you in any color with any Barbie!

Lightning McQueen and Mater
This was a challenging one.  I'm a much bigger fan of how Lightning turned out.  He was the "smash" cake for a cute little one year old...the cake board is covered in individual squares of fondant to create the checkerboard effect!  Mater's tow hook was a fun detail to add!
Pink and Orange glitter and shine
This is my sisters bridal shower cake...I had help from my sister-in-law Kirsten with this one...those are fresh roses on the top of the cake...can't take credit for those : )
Showers of sparkle and ruffles...
This is my sister-in-law's bridal shower cake!  This started my obsession with ruffles and sparkles!
The top was covered with a handcrafted sugar flower!

Fun Fall Flowers...
Say that three times fast!  This was a little arrangement I put together for a friend who teaches swim lessons to seniors in Delaware.  She wanted mini cupcakes since some of the ladies are diabetic, so I thought this was a fun way to deliver them.  Inside there is a styrofoam ball and each cupcake has a toothpick holding it in place.  Just be careful with the toothpicks, especially if making one of these for kids!
